My first instinct is STAY AWAY from the track tonight!!!!! I went and watched Mohawk OTB last night and it was one big mudfest. We have had days and days of solid rain and the track is difficult to cap.
With that said, I do want to post at least ONE play for tonight and SHOULD NOT be a fan favourite.

RACE 5:

We should see "Art Auction" #1 and "Victory Streak #4 take the chalk here. I am also asssuming that "Johnny G Thats Me" #9 will have a few eyes on him but he does have some breaks which could hurt him on this slop. Given last nights outcomes I noticed a few things that makes me want to hit a horse here who may have what it takes to outfinish this bunch. I believe that early speed will kill if this wind and rain keeps up and closers who can handle faster fractions will have an edge.

My money will be stuck on CC & Kable Kar Hanover. He doesn't mind slop, and has showed some creative fast moves from way back with CC driving. Due to the competition, I am HOPING for a solid 6-1 + when the tote settles.

#5 WPS
1-4-5 ex box

5,1/5,1/2,4,6,9,10 tri.

Good luck & bring a wetsuit!!!!

With that in mind...... I think the outside post MAY not be a bad place for late speed in the mudhole!! Go light as there should be good value if it materializes. Watch the track and decide as you go.

Race 1:
10-2-1 ex box

I am leaning to Tres Vite #10 WPS (might get bigger price for his post)

Race 3: Luke Clark Colby #10 WPS

10-5-9 ex box

Race 4: Smoke n Sizzle # 7

Look for #1 Loomis close by

Cosmic Dreamer & Ryans Camluck third..

7,1 WPS (oddds will dictate my bet)

7,1,5 ex box

7-1-5 $20 Tri

7,1/7,1/2,3,4,5,9

Race 6: IceWood A WPS

Charm attack should be chalk and Niangale second fav - CC opted to drive this horse tonight. Ice should give the best value and could take a win here if the right trip comes along.

6,4,1 ex box

Let the mud fly!!!!

Well the rain hasn't subsided and the wind is pounding. Glad I am not out there running in this mess but I hope that after it is over ,I won't be thinking that I personally could have run FASTER than the horses that I bet on!!!

Good luck for those who give it a shot.
And Highdaddy - you are correct. But I have also found that on those "off nights" you get horses that others might not look at. There is less chance for "bandwagon" pile-ups and some nights I can find HUGE value on some picks that I won't otherwise get in the big stakes races. On a Sat night with $100,000 at stake, it is hard to hide a key horse and get 5-1 on him. They are seasoned, ready and most people know it.
